Martin Kesuma

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Martin Ernest Kesuma is the first prize winner at the Dickinson Piano Competition, the Petroff College Piano Competition, and the Texas State Aria/Concerto Competition. He also received second prizes from the Tuesday Musical Club Competition in San Antonio and the ASEAN International Concerto Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Martin has performed as soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Indonesia performing Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 1 and the Texas State Symphony Orchestra performing Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 2.

Martin was selected to participate in the Aspen Music Festival, InterHarmony International Music Festival in Italy, the Texas State International Piano Festival, the Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Hungary, and the Asia International Piano Academy and Festival in Korea. He has performed in masterclasses for Anton Nel, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Enrico Elisi, Gregory Allen, Joseph Rackers, Julian Martin, Marina Lomazov, and Thomas Hecht.
