Paolo Fazioli, himself an engineer and pianist, founded a company that has built handmade grand and concert grand pianos in its factory in the town of Sacile since 1981. Firmly established as a premium piano maker, Fazioli pianos are recognized amongst those of the highest quality in the world.
The Heart of The Piano
The Fazioli soundboard is made entirely of red spruce from the “Valdi Fiemme”, a valley in the eastern Italian Apls. Evennes, lightness and flexible strength are typical features of this wood. Antonio Stradivarius used the wood from this forest for his legendary violins.
Passion for music and scientific knowledge, great and craftmanship, a firm commitment to technological research and highly selected materials: these are the main elements required to tone is inspired by the Italian ideal of the “forte” and “piano” of Bartolomeo Christofori, the piano’s inventor.
